A Trip to the Rainforest-Ճամփորդություն դեպի անձրևանտառ

This is Maria. She is ten and she lives in Brazil. One day while she is at school her teacher Mrs. Fernandes says,-“Tomorrow we are going on a trip(գնալու ենք ճամփորդության). We are visiting to a rainforest”(այցելելու ենք անձրևների անտառ). “Hooray”,-shout the children. They are all very excited(նրանք բոլորը շատ հուզված են). They love going on trips.

So on the next day they all get on the school bus(Հաջորդ օրը նրանք բոլորը նստում են ավտոբուս). Maria is sitting next to(կողքը) her friend Pablo. All the mums and dads are waving goodbye.”Goodbye, have a nice trip”. On the bus Mrs. Fernandes talks(զրուցում է) about rainforests.

“Rainforests are very important(կարևոր). There are a lot of animals there. There are a lot of plants(բույսեր) too because it rains a lot. It rains for two hundred days every year.”Wow”, says Maria. Pablo doesn’t say anything. He doesn’t feel very well(նա իրեն լավ չի զգում). His face is all red. Two hours later (երկու ժամ անց)the bus stops. Maria and her friend climb down the steps of the bus. They all stop and look at the rainforest. It is beautiful and green and the trees are so tall(բարձրահասակ). Maria and her friend and Mrs. Fernandes are now walking along the path(արահետ). It is very warm in the rainforest and the ground is wet(գետինը խոնավ է).Why is it so dark(Ինչու՞ է այսքան մութ), Mrs.Fernandes?”, asks Maria. “Because there are a lot of very tall trees and they don’t let the sunrays come in.(նրանք թույլ չեն տալիս, որ արևի ճառագայթները ներս թափանցեն)” Mrs. Fernandes goes deeper into the rainforest and talks about trees(զրուցում է ծառերի մասին).We get a lot of things from these trees(մենք շատ բաներ ենք ստանում այս ծառերից ինչպես օրինակ), like rubber(կաուչուկ, ռեզին), cocoa and vanilla. We can also get fruit like avocados”. “Look, there is an avocado tree”,-says Maria. “And this is a rubber tree”,-says Pablo. Maria and her class are walking through the rainforest. There are lots of small animals there. Pablo sees a tree frog. Then Miguel sees a beautiful butterfly. After that Khuanita sees a strange(տարօրինակ) bird.”What’s that, Mrs. Fernandes?” “It’s a toocan(թութակի նման թռչուն), Khuanita”. Suddenly the class hears a noise(լսում է աղմուկ). It is very loud(բարձր). Maria is scared(վախենում է). “What’s that, Mrs. Fernandes?” “They are monkeys. Don’t be scared, Maria. They are just talking to each other(զրուցում են իրար հետ). They are very noisy(նրանք շատ աղմկոտ են), aren’t they?”. The path goes beside the river.”Are there any fish in the rainforest, Mrs. Fernandes?”, asks Pablo. “Oh yes, some rivers have piranes (պիրաններ). Piranes love to eat meat, so don’t go near the river.

Maria looks at Pablo. He doesn’t look very well.”What’s the matter(ի՞նչ է պատահել), Pablo?” asks Maria. “I don’t feel very well”(ես ինձ լավ չեմ զգում), says Pablo. “ Oh no, let’s tell Mrs. Fernandes”. “ No, don’t worry, I am okay”.

Mrs.Fernandes says,-“The people in this rainforest know a lot of things (գիտեն շատ բաներ)about the plants and animals here”.

“Yes, But where are the supermarkets here? How do they buy food(ինչպե՞ս են գնում ուտելիք), Mrs. Fernandes?

“They don’t go shopping, Khuanita. They get everything they need(կարիք ունենալ) from the rainforest”.

“Wow, that’s clever(խելացի)”. Suddenly Pablo falls(ընկնում է) to the ground. Maria shouts,”Help, Mrs. Fernandes, Pablo is ill(հիվանդ)”.

Everybody runs to him. His face is white. Mrs. Fernandes is very worried.(շատ է անհանգստանում).”Oh no, what are we going to do now? The bus isn’t coming back for another two hours”. Nobody knows what to do. Then there is noise from behind the trees. It is a young boy. “Hello, my name is Momoo. I live in the rainforest. My grandmother can help that boy get better. She knows lots of things. Come with me”. Mrs. Fernandes carries Pablo and they all follow(հետևել) Momoo through the trees. He takes him to his grandma. His grandma looks at Pablo and says, “I know, what you need.” Then she goes to a small plant to get the roots(արմատներ) of the tree and cuts(կտրում է) some leaves(տերևներ) from it. Now the grandma makes some tea with the leaves and then gives it to Pablo. The tea is in a wooden bowl(թաս). Pablo drinks it all. In a few minutes, he feels better(մի քանի րոպե անց նա իրեն ավելի լավ է զգում) and smiles. The children are happy and Mrs. Fernandes is very pleased.

“Thank you so much. I feel much better now”,-says Pablo. “That’s all right, Pablo. You know you should thank(դու պետք է շնորհակալություն հայտնես) the rainforest. Many of its plants make medicine(դեղ)”,- says the grandma.

“Yes, let’s go back to the city(քաղաք) and tell everybody”,- says Maria.

“You are right, Maria. We are going to tell people, when we go back to school, about Pablo and the rainforest. That way we can help to protect it(այս ձևով մենք կարող ենք պաշտպանել այն)”.

One day she sees a big green frog. The frog can jump but it can’t run or play games. “I don’t want to have such a friend”, says Chita. 

Then Chita sees a dolphin, a big grey dolphin. The dolphin can jump and play. But it can’t run or sing. “I don’t want to have such a friend”, says Chita.

Then Chita sees a little black and white kitten. The kitten is funny. It can run, jump and dance. It has got a ball and likes to play with it. So the monkey likes the kitten very much. “I want to be your friend”, says Chita. “Let’s play

Now Chita has got a good friend.

Story 1.

«The princess and the dragon»

 

Once upon a time there was a king and queen who lived in a golden
castle with their beautiful daughter. One night an ugly ogre captured
the beautiful princess and locked her up in his tall, dark tower.
‘Help me!’
‘Roar!’
The king and queen were very sad. They promised to give a bag of
gold to the knight that rescued the princess.
‘Please save our princess!’
‘We’ll save the princess!’
All the knights in the land wanted to rescue the princess. They rode to the tower as fast as they
could.
‘Help me!’
‘Roar!’
The ugly ogre roared with anger when he saw the knights. His roar was so scary that they rode away
as fast as they could.
One day a friendly dragon was flying over the ogre’s tower when he heard the princess cry for help.
‘Help me!’
The dragon flew down to the tower, took a big fiery breath and blew the ogre far away over the
mountains and into the ocean.
‘Come with me, princess. Don’t be scared!’
‘Thank you for saving me.’
‘My pleasure, princess.’
The dragon rescued the princess from the tower and gently put her on his strong back. They flew
high in the sky. They flew over the tower and the castle, over the mountains and caves, and out
towards the deep blue ocean.
‘Whee! I can fly!’
The dragon and the princess flew to the castle. The king and queen were so happy to see the
princess they gave the dragon the bag of gold. They all lived happily ever after.
‘Thank you for saving our princess!’
‘My pleasure!’

Jack took the beans and went back home. When Jack’s mother saw the beans she was very angry.
She threw the beans out of the window.
The next morning, Jack looked out of the window. There was a giant beanstalk. He went outside and
started to climb the beanstalk.
He climbed up to the sky through the clouds. Jack saw a beautiful castle. He went inside.
Jack heard a voice. ‘Fee, fi, fo, fum!’ Jack ran into a cupboard.
An enormous giant came into the room and sat down. On the table there was a hen and a golden
harp.
‘Lay!’ said the giant. The hen laid an egg. It was made of gold. ‘Sing!’ said the giant. The harp began to
sing. Soon the giant was asleep.
Jack jumped out of the cupboard. He took the hen and the harp. Suddenly, the harp sang, ‘Help,
master!’
The giant woke up and shouted, ‘Fee, fi, fo, fum!’ Jack ran and started climbing down the beanstalk.
The giant came down after him.
Jack shouted, ‘Mother! Help!’ Jack’s mother took an axe and chopped down the beanstalk. The giant
fell and crashed to the ground. Nobody ever saw him again.
With the golden eggs and the magic harp, Jack and his mother lived happily ever after.

 

Story 3

«The magic fish»

Every day, Robert’s grandfather went fishing. One day, Robert
asked to go too.
‘Well, I want to catch the magic fish. The first person to eat it will
become the cleverest person in the world. Can you help me?’
‘Yes!’ said Robert, and they went fishing.
First, they caught a yellow fish with purple spots. ‘Wow! Is that the magic fish?’ asked Robert.
‘No,’ said his grandfather.
Then they caught a blue fish with red stripes. ‘Is that the magic fish?’ asked Robert.
‘No,’ said his grandfather.
Suddenly, they caught a big, beautiful silver fish with pink and green diamonds. Robert’s
grandfather jumped for joy. It was the magic fish! They started to cook the fish, and his
grandfather went to get some more wood. He asked Robert to watch the fish, but not to eat
any of it.
Robert watched the fish very carefully. He saw a tiny bubble on its tail. He touched it with his
finger. Pop! The bubble burst. The fish was very hot and burnt his finger. Ouch! He put his
finger in his mouth.
When his grandfather came back, he saw that something was different. ‘Did you touch the
fish?’ asked his grandfather.
‘Yes, I’m sorry,’ said Robert.
His grandfather sighed a happy sigh and gave Robert a big hug. ‘The magic fish chose you.
You are the cleverest boy in the world, and I am the proudest grandfather ever!’

Story 1

«Hamlet»

 

Many years ago in Denmark there was a prince called
Hamlet.
One day Hamlet’s father, the king, dies suddenly and
Hamlet is very sad.
After this Hamlet’s mother, Gertrude, gets married again
very quickly. She marries her husband’s brother,
Claudius, and Claudius is now the king!
“Aargh! How could you do this to me!”
One night Hamlet’s friend, Horatio, tells him that there is a ghost in the castle. It is
the ghost of Hamlet’s father!
“Claudius killed me with poison! Hamlet, you must punish Claudius for me!”
Hamlet is confused. He doesn’t know if he believes the ghost and he doesn’t know
what to do.
Hamlet now acts very strangely. He is mean and angry, and he upsets his
girlfriend, Ophelia.
“Go away! Leave me alone!”
“Oh, he is so mean!”
One day a group of actors come to the castle and Hamlet makes a plan. He asks
the actors to change their play. The new play will show a king poisoned like
Hamlet’s father.
“With this play I will catch the king.”
When Claudius watches the play he looks very worried and runs away. Hamlet
sees him and he knows the truth.
Claudius is very worried about Hamlet now and makes a plan with Ophelia’s
brother, Laertes.
“You will fight him and we will put poison on the sword and in his drink too.”
Laertes and Hamlet fight. Laertes cuts Hamlet, but in the fight Hamlet takes
Laertes’ sword and cuts him with it too!
“Here, Hamlet, drink this.”
