The second day of the “Friendship” Camp of the Pedagogical Innovations 2017

Today was the second day of the Friendship Camp 2017. After the general morning training the participants were divided into groups. Each group had its own conductor and they all began to work on different educational projects. I participated in the project “The radio as an Educational Tool” the conductor of which was Gohar Baljyan.

 

In our group, besides our Educomplex teachers, there were participants from Artsakh and a student of the Pedagogical University. During the seminar we created a radio material about the “Friendship” Camp. At the same time, at the Eastern School there was a performance of our national ritual Vardavar. The performance was conducted by Marine Mkrtchyan.

Then we had sport trainings.

 

After the lunch break all the campers took part in the seminar on one more pedagogical   innovation of the Educomplex: “Educational Flash Mobs”. The seminar was conducted by  Yura Ganjalyan. “The aim of our educational Flash Mobs is to make the content of our school subjects closer to real life as much as we can”, stated Mr. Yura.

 

At 14:00 the music teachers of the Educomplex and the teachers’ choir “Sebastatsies” gave a lovely concert which we enjoyed very much.

The First Day of the Friendship Camp of Pedagogical Innovations

Today was the first day of the Friendship Camp of Pedagogical Innovations. The participants of the Camp are the teachers from Armenia, Artsakh and Georgia who are interested in pedagogical innovations. The day began with everyday general morning training during which Marine Mkrtchyan began teaching an old Armenian dance-song.

Then Ashot Bleyan, the director of our Educomplex, greeted all the participants of the Camp and announced the “Friendship Camp 2017” open.

At 9:30 Mr. Ashot Bleyan took the leadership of the walking tour about the Mother School building and the Northern School. Nobody else can present the educational environment of the Educomplex better than our director, the main creator of this environment.

The participants were very impressed by Diana Tatintsyan’s  “Mono performance” which took place in the Northern School.

 

Then all the participants gathered in the Central Reading Hall where Mary Gabanyan presented our media library and Lusine Alexanyan presented our Educomplex website.

It was followed by the seminar “Blog Based Teaching” conducted by Anahit Harutyunyan.

The seminar was followed by a coffee break during which the participants discussed and summarized the first day in a friendly atmosphere.

The last day of Bangladesh Plein Air.

The day began with the presentation of the “Audio Book” which took place at the College of «Mkhitar Sebastatsi» Educomplex. A group of students with the help of Anahit Melkonyan and Gayane Terzyan have translated a book of short stories for very young children into English, read and recorded them in English and Armenian. I was very impressed with their project.

 

Then I took part in the “Mono Performance” called “Cut these stupid wires of the phone off» by Arpi Sahakyan. She is a student of grade 9 at our Educomplex. Despite her young age her emotions and acting are quite mature and natural.

Then I was present at the press conference given by Ashot Bleyan and Lela Chincharauli, Director of School N 3 after Ilia Chavchavadze in Akhlkalaki (Georgia) . Both Mr. Ashot Bleyan and Ms. Lela Chincharauli expressed the idea that a great deal has been done in the realization of the program “Armenian-Georgian Public Educational Bridges” and still more is to be done by building new educational bridges, in particular, with the School N 3 in Akhalkalaki. It was announced that a group of 50 students and teachers from the Educomplex is going to visit Samtskhe Javakheti, Akhalkalaki, Gandza, Kartsakh and Heshtia on June 22-24.

 

A really glorious end of the busy day was the Armenian-Georgian festivity held outside and in the foyer of the Theatre after Gabriel Sundukyan.

 

 

 

A Great Concert of the Western School in the Marble Hall

A great concert of the Western school with the participation of the learners took place in the Marble Hall on the 14th of June. The Marble Hall was full of the learners’ parents and guests from Georgia. All the students with their parents sang different songs written by Komitas and danced Armenian folk dances. I also had my own participation in this concert. My students of Grade 4 and 5 sang two English songs from the film “The Sound of Music”. All my students sang the songs wonderfully. I was so proud of them at that moment.

Before the concert there was a great exhibition with small clay articles and pictures created by the learners. There were also some extraordinary works, portraits made of beads and wires. All the parents were grateful for that wonderful day.

 

 

An Incredible Concert in the Marble Hall

An incredible concert of the Southern School with the participation of the learners and their parents took place on the 13^th of June. Nearly all the parents were the participants of this concert. They began to sing and dance with their children and had fun in it. It was shown on their contented faces. Before the concert, there was a nice exhibition with various pictures painted by the learners. There were guests  from Georgia too who performed their Georgian dances. All the participants were very satisfied.

The Second Day of our Bangladesh Plein Air Summer Camp.

Today is the second day of our Bangladesh Plein Air Summer Camp. At 10 a.m. I was in the Concert Hall of the Educomplex where the students of our Musical School were giving a piano concert. They were trying hard to show what they have learned for a whole school year. I noticed that their piano teachers were more excited than their students. One by one the students came up to the piano, greeted the audience and introduced themselves. Then they said what they were going to perform. The students and piano teachers looked excited but the parents looked happy with their smartphones and cameras taking photos of their children. It was a very pleasant concert.

 

I was also present at the presentations of the Film-Photo festival. They showed a silent film by Hamo Beknazaryan. The title of the film was “The House on the Volcano”. We know that silent films of the 1920s had no synchronized recorded sound. So the most exciting thing was that while watching that film we heard live synchronized sounds of different musical instruments created by a group of teenagers.

Օր չորրորդ.01.06.2017

Բացօթյա ուրախ օտար լեզու իրականացրեցի 1-ից 3-րդ դասարաններում: Այդ ընթցաքում ընկեր Մենուան տարբեր մաթեմատիկական խաղեր էր կազմակերպում մեր ջոկատի հետ: Այդ ամենից հետո հաջորդեց հեծանվավարությունը և թութ ուտելը:

Այս օրը իմ ճամբարային առօրյան անցկացրեցի Արևմտյան դպրոցում, որտեղ 5-րդ և 4-րդ դասարանի մի խումբ սովորողների հետ գնացինք Մայր դպրոց և մեդիաուրբաթին ներկայանալու համար մեր երաժշտական ներկայացման փորձը արեցինք Լիլիթ Առաքելյանի դաշնամուրային նվագակցության ներքո:

1-ից 3-րդ դասարաններում բացօթյա ուրախ անգլերեն: Որից հետո իմ ջոկատի հետ սկսեցինք անգլերենով և հայերենով նախորդ շաբաթվա հաշվետվությունը թողարկել իրենց բլոգներում:

Վայրը՝ Արևմտյան դպրոց-պարտեզ

5-րդ դասարանի մի խումբ սովորողների հետ իրականցրեցինք սովորող սովորեցնող փոքրիկ նախագիծ: Իրենք 2-րդ դասարանի իրենց կրտսեր ընկերներին սովորեցրեցին անգլերեն երգ, խաղացին ուսումնական ակտիվ խաղեր: Վերջում լողափնյա բակում միասին խաղացինք «BINGO» լոտո-խաղը, որի միջոցով երեխաները կրկնեցին անգլերեն տառերը, սովորեցին նոր բառեր:
